Here's my final piece! The green areas are actually blue slip, so when it's fired they will change to a bluish/purplish color. I'm super excited about it, it was totally worth all the time I spent in the studio to etch in the designs.
Here's what it looked like after I was done putting the pieces together/trimming it. Surprisingly, this project didn't give me a lot of trouble like the ones before it!
Here's a picture I took while I was in the process of making the pieces for one of my final projects. The assignment was to use red clay to create a traditional piece of Greek pottery.
Here are the bowls I made for my second ceramics project! I also made a coffee mug and sugar dish out of my extra clay...I was happy with the shapes, but the colors for those two pieces turned out kind of boring. I was happiest with the giraffe print bowls, they have turquoise and purple on the outside.
